Privacy Policy

FlipSwitch is a VPN and ad blocker for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This page covers two separate things: what the FlipSwitch app does with your data, and what this marketing website does with your data. They're not the same, so we've kept them separate below.
The app: what we don't collect
FlipSwitch does not keep connection logs. That means no record of the websites or IP addresses you connect to, no timestamps of when you connected, and no record of how much data you used. We can't hand over what we don't have, and we don't have this.
The app: what we do collect
- Purchase and subscription status, handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive a receipt confirming your subscription is active. We do not see your payment details.
- Crash reports, if you opt in through iOS or macOS system settings. These come from Apple's own reporting tools, not from us directly.
- Anything you send us directly, if you email support.
This website: the IP lookup
Our homepage has a demo bar that shows your IP address and internet provider. That information comes from a direct, client-side request your browser makes to a third-party IP lookup service. It does not pass through our servers, and we do not log or store it. If you'd rather this request not happen, an ad or tracker blocker running in your browser will typically stop it (the demo will just show a placeholder instead).
Third parties
Apple processes payments and distributes the app through the App Store, under Apple's own privacy terms. The IP lookup service described above is the only other third party involved, and only on this website, not in the app.
Children's privacy
FlipSwitch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
